re check your config file. Its easy to make an error. Then recheck again.

    # CaID mappings. This is used to solve CaID mismatch errors when a
    # receiver reports the wrong CaID (this can happen when the provider uses

    #
    caid_mappings=1816
    #
    # You can also add several mappings like this:
    #
    # caid_mappings=1802:1816|1803:1816| ...

Did you "activate" your code by signing in and activating it?

No need for that with just one donation.

Looks like two caid_mapping lines--don't think that would be a good idea. If that first line is not commented out, you might want to comment out.

that's okay to have that second one empty. The rq client will read the info if it's there. If this is no info, then it is ignored.
Your SW bins will deal with the CAID mappings anyway, so having both showing no values will work to, or so I think :)

hope you have more luck than me. i have been trying for 4 months now, without success. there is no users manual, and unfortunately, although everyone tries to be helpful, the whole thing is so cryptic I cannot make sense of it...and I think I am fairly computer savvy. This is definitely not for the faint of heart.

so what does this mean? "Control Words"? I got it to work for about 15 minutes and then it died. it's working again now, but what would cause it to die?

The video and audio packets that come in from the provider are encrypted with a simple encryption, the active control word is required to get the info out of the packets so you can see and hear the channel. The control words are sent in packets called ecm or cmd07 packets, the box gets them from the stream and sends them out the serial port to your PC where the rq-sssp client program sends them off to your card sharing server. When the controls words (CWs) come back from the IKS server, they are formatted as needed for your box and sent over the serial port. The box then takes those CWs and puts them in the processor's registers for the active stream.

As for what caused your client to "die"--I would guess you have not set the byte_write_delay as required for the pansat.

Once your receiver is working then the receiver setup and scan will be what get them channels or not.

I know this is an old thread :)

    I tried this yesterday..
Thank You! Very impressed with this guys..

I knocked the dust off a Fortec Lifetime Ultra and did the convert to Pansat 2500 then used this file and the rq-sssp and away we go..
I had to do some searching for info on here and some other forums cuz the box was messed up with a different file, to get things working, but it all works.,
Thanks to Jvvh PUFF UkRoNiC Fwank7... I have nice puppies in my background now! LOL

The only part about it all, is the epg freezing in the channel scrolling.. and i can not just enter the channel number I want to go to without the unit locking up for a bit.. but it does still work..

If someone did not have a newer STB box you could still painfully and patiently watch your fav show..

    Had fun playing too.. Ha!

    Thanks
    J
