Windows 11 Settings can finally be used to manage your Microsoft account
If you have ever had to change a setting in your Microsoft 365 account, you'll possibly have been irritated by the fact that you have to do so in your browser rather than in Windows. But this is changing.
Last week, Microsoft released Windows 11 Build 22000.466 (KB5008353) to Windows Insiders signed up for the Beta and Release Preview channels. What many people -- including us! -- failed to notice in the changelog, or in the build itself, was an important change to the Settings app that means it is now possible to view and change options relating to your Microsoft account.

Assuming you have the latest Beta and Release Preview build of Windows 11 installed, fire up the Settings app and head to the Account section. You'll see a Your Microsoft Account sub-section, and from here you can see information about subscriptions you may have, view and change your payment settings, and check the status of your Microsoft rewards.
Take a look at the release notes for this build, and you'll see a line about halfway through the list of changes and improvements:
We added a new Your Microsoft Account page to the Accounts category in Windows Settings for Home and Professional editions.
The fact that this option is available in the Release Preview build means that it is a setting that should be rolling out to all Windows 11 users very soon indeed.
